		<description>@j does your backend log have any messages about this when you run the job? (tail -f -n 100 /var/log/mythtv/mythbackend.log then run the job to encode the mp3)

At a guess it's probably either your file permissions or you have not compiled ffmpeg properly. The mythbackend log will reveal all! :)</description>

I was looking for something like this exactly. BTW - I added to your script a deletion of the recorded show, so it won't take space on the HD after converting.</description>
